Men's Basketball

With a victory in the Patriot League Title game, the AU Men's Basketball team earned its first ever bid in the upcoming NCAA Division I Tournament. 15 seed American will play second seed Tennessee on Friday, March 21, at 11:15 a.m. central time at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Center in Birmingham, Ala.

Tickets are $51 for the AU session. Each American ticket will permit entry for the only session that AU plays, which will include the AU game and the other game in that session only. If you purchase tickets to the First Round of the NCAA Tournament and American advances, you will automatically be charged for tickets to the Second Round game with American at the same location.

Ticket Priority
Priority for all NCAA post-season tickets is as follows:
1.) Eagles Club members who have made lifetime gifts to Athletics in excess of $10,000 and are current Eagles Club members
2.) Eagles Club members who donated $500 or more to Men's Basketball this fiscal year and are 2007-08 Men's Basketball season ticket holders
3.) 2007-08 Men's Basketball season ticket holders
4.) Eagles Club members who donated $500 or more this fiscal year
5.) 2007-08 Eagles Club Members
6.) American University Alumni/Faculty/Staff
7.) American University Fans/General Public

NCAA Ticket Ordering Procedure for AU Students
Current AU students can reserve tickets at the AU Ticket Office in Bender Arena at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 17. Tickets are limited to 1 per current AU student with a valid student ID. Student tickets are $50 per student and must be paid in full on Monday at the box office. Students are encouraged to arrive early as student tickets are limited and will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis.

The time and date of your email request reserves your "spot in line" for purchasing tickets.

Payment information is required at the time of the e-mail request. If we are able to fulfill your request for tickets, you will receive a phone call and an e-mail by Tuesday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m. Please note that submitting the request does not guarantee you will receive tickets.

Due to the high demand for tickets, we may implement a two-ticket limit per account to give as many AU fans the opportunity to purchase tickets. Please understand that the number of tickets each institution receives is extremely limited. That small allotment is used to accommodate all requests from the team, students, Eagles Club members, season ticket holders, alumni and friends.

How to Pick Up Tickets
Tickets will be left at the American Will Call table in the arena on the day of the game beginning one hour prior to the first game of AU's session. Tickets will not be mailed. Only the purchaser of these tickets with a valid photo ID may pick up the tickets at Will Call. Please note that there are no exceptions.
