AU Volleyball To Be Honored at Halftime of Saturday's Men's Basketball Game

WASHINGTON - The American University volleyball team will be honored for its 2007 Patriot League Championship at halftime of this Saturday's men's basketball game against Lafayette, Department of Athletics and Recreation officials announced Tuesday.

AU has won the PL Championship seven-consecutive years since joining the conference in 2001. Under the guidance of 19th year Head Coach Barry Goldberg, the Eagles finished the season with an overall record of 26-8 and a conference mark of 13-1. AU was led on the court by PL Player of the Year Rubena Sukaj and PL Co-Defensive Player of the Year Ivan Cebakova.
