Volleyball Places League-High Nine on Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

Nine members of the American University women's volleyball team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, the most of any Patriot League volleyball team. Junior Cassandra Ricketts was one of only two PL volleyball student-athletes to earn a perfect 4.0 GPA in the semester.

Men’s Basketball, Field Hockey Conference Championships Rank as Top Moments of 2009

Volleyball Drops Season Finale at Albany, 3-0

The American University volleyball team lost at Albany on Saturday, 3-0, in the team's season finale despite a double-double effort from Angelina Waterman. The Great Danes earned the victory by set scores of 25-18, 25-16 and 25-11.

The American University volleyball advanced to the Patriot League Championship match on Saturday with a resounding 3-0 win over Colgate in West Point, N.Y. The Eagles trailed only once in the entire match and held the Raiders to a .053 hitting percentage.

Three Eagles Earn All-Patriot League Honors

American University volleyball student-athletes Magdalena Tekiel, Claire Recht, and Angelina Waterman earned All-Patriot League honors on Tuesday for their performances during the 2009 season. Tekiel and Recht were each named to the first team while Waterman was a second team selection.

Volleyball Closes Regular Season With 3-1 Win at Bucknell; Earns #2 Seed in Patriot League Tournament

The American University volleyball team defeated Bucknell on Saturday afternoon, 3-1, in Lewisburg, Pa., in the team's regular season finale. American earned its victory by set scores of 26-24, 15-25, 25-17 and 25-18.
