Women's Tennis Falls To Georgetown, 7-0

WASHINGTON - American University's women's tennis team lost a 7-0 match to cross-town rival Georgetown on Tuesday.
The doubles tandem of Julia Colarusso (Downington, Pa./Downington) and Tessa Hollyn-Taub (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto) won the Eagles only match of the day with a 8-6 win at the No. 1 doubles spot. The Hoyas won the other two doubles matches to win the doubles point.
Colaursso kept it close at the No. 1 singles spot, losing to Georgetown's Steph Cohen by a score of 6-3, 6-4. Brandi Kligman (Milburn, N.J./Short Hills) lost to Hoya Kristin Dew by a 7-6, 6-1 score. Brynne Ward (Stone Mountain, Ga./Paideia) fell at the No. 6 singles position by a 6-4, 6-2 tally.
The Eagles will get back into Patriot League play on April 2, when they take on Lehigh at home. The match is set for 2 p.m.
