WASHINGTON - 6-3-1 is arbitrary going forward as we anxiously await Saturday's match-up against an undefeated Navy team. Five wins in the Patriot League basically guarantees us a spot in the tournament and a chance to achieve our overall team goal; a Patriot League Championship.

We're in for a battle as Navy's squad is both extremely athletic and talented year in and year out; not to mention they were nationally ranked for their recruiting class. This is what we live for - big games. We're going to their pitch so it's time to make a statement and send a message to the rest of the league.

HUGE thanks to all the parents who put together and attended the barbeque on Sunday even in spite of the weather. I've said it several times but your support is appreciated more than we are capable of showing. You've given us this incredible gift by supporting us and made it possible for us to not only play soccer and be educated but to find each other and make friendships that will last well beyond our 4 years at AU.

I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome Krystn Hodge to our team. A transfer, Krystn proved herself to be a great soccer player and was welcomed to our team with open arms. She adds explosive speed and a powerful left foot to our attack. Krystn - we all appreciate your efforts so far...keep plugging away.

Navy at 1 p.m. on Saturday if you're willing to make the 45 minute drive - it will be worth it!

To my girls: this is where it all begins. No team can match our skill and ability to play soccer so let's surprise them and get stuck in. There really wouldn't be anything better than winning a championship with my best friends - it starts Saturday!
