WASHINGTON — After a 2-0 win on Friday at UNC Ashville, the American University women's soccer team concludes its two-game road swing of the Carolinas on Sunday against USC Upstate.

First For All
Sophomores Keelin Ferris and Juliana Sailing each recorded their first collegiate points on Friday at UNC Ashville. Ferris scored her first collegiate goal and Sailing recorded two assists.

When She Wins … She's Perfect
Junior keeper Ryleigh Brown made four saves for her fourth collegiate shutout and her fifth win of her career against the Bulldogs. Brown recorded three clean sheets last season and posted a career 1.46 goals against average. 

Home Cookin
The Eagles make their 2019 home debut on Wednesday against George Washington at 5 p.m. AU will remain in the District for two more games against VMI on Aug 31 and Binghamton on Sept 6. 

Senior Day in August
American will honor its eight seniors and one team manager on Aug 31 against VMI. Among the seniors to be honored will be Kyanna AlleyneSamm FrancucciAmy KrotineMorgan LangDara MagdalenoVictoria MattsonCharly SlavickTiffany Zukosky and team manager Dylan Wolfe.

USC Upstate Scout
Picked sixth in the Big South Conference, USC Upstate is coming off its first Big South Tournament Semifinal appearance after defeating over Longwood in the quarters. The Spartans return both leading scorers from last season in Abby Ellis and Jada Kinlaw. Ellis needs just three points to become the school's All-Time leader and needs a pair of goals to become the school's All-Time leader in goals.
