@AU_WSoccer Honors Six Seniors on Saturday Against Lehigh

WASHINGTON — The American University women's soccer team is looking for its first win of the Patriot League season on Saturday when they host Lehigh on Senior Day.

GAME NOTES

  • PL Scoring Leader — Senior Yari Bradfield leads the Patriot League in points (19) and goals (9). Bradfield is one goal shy of tying head coach Anabel Hering in the top 10 AU record books in single-season goals with 10. Bradfield leads the league in PL-only matches with four goals and eight points. Classmate Audrey Denkler leads the league in assists with five.

Senior Day Player Notes

  • Colleen Vivaldi Two-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll member. Played in eight games with four starts in goal and a career goals against average of 2.10. As a junior, she set a career-best with 10 saves at Longwood. 
  • Bruna Gomes Started 29 of 60 games as a defender and is a 2017 member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. 
  • Gabriela Maldonado Transferred to American from LSU after two seasons. Prior to her arrival in D.C., she was also a member of the U-17 Columbian Women's National Team and participated in the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. In 20 career games as an Eagle, she has four goal and four assists for 12 points.
  • Madie Light Two-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll member, who played in 61 games with 31 starts. In her career, she has four goals and one assist for nine points.
  • Yari Bradfield Started in 47 of the 67 games during her AU career. A Patriot League Academic Honor Roll member, she has scored 12 career goals and five assists. One goal shy of tying head coach Anabel Hering on AU's to 10 single-season record books for goals in a season. 
  • Audrey Denkler Co-captain who started in 54 of 58 games with three goals and eight assists. A two-time Patriot League Academic honor roll member, Denkler is tied for first in the Patriot League in assists with five.
