Women's Soccer Falls to Tennessee on Sunday

WASHINGTON — The American University women's soccer team fell to Tennessee, 3-0, on Sunday afternoon at Reeves Field.

Freshman Amy Krotine made her first collegiate start in goal for the Eagles and recorded one save. 

Tennessee got on the board in the 12th minute on a goal by Rylie O'Keefe. Hannah Wilkinson and Anna McClung were credited with the assists.

Two minutes later, The Vols added their second tally of the day on a header by Anna Bialczak off a corner kick serve by O'Keefe.

UT added its third goal in the 58th minute on Maya Neal's breakaway. Wilkinson added her second helper of the day after she fed a through ball to Neal. 

The Vols finished with a 14-1 advantage in shots and took all eight corner kicks. Tennessee keeper Jamie Simmons made one save. 

American will host Longwood on Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m.
