WASHINGTON — The American University lacrosse team begins Patriot League play on Sunday, hosting Bucknell at Jacobs Field. The Eagles completed the non-league slate with a 3-5 record.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES

Senior Lexi Perez scored four goals on nine shots in a 14-11 loss to George Washington on Wednesday afternoon. Leah Brennan and Kendall Goldblum also tallied a pair of goals for the Eagles. Entering league play, sophomore Erica Skowron leads the team and is eighth in the PL with 28 points (10g, 18a) and 10th in goals. 

Junior goalkeeper Fiona Geier leads the team with 91 saves so far this season for a .448 save percentage and a 12.69 goals against average.

SCOUTING THE BISON

Bucknell is winless in its last five games after taking a 5-4 overtime win over Robert Morris to open the season. The Bison dropped its last contest, 13-8, to Marist at home on Wednesday. Eve Calabria led the team with three goals and Sarah Galzerano added two goals. 

Calabria's hat trick pushed her season total to seven goals. Morgan Steinhacker leads the squad in goals with eight. In goal, Jamie DeWitt has made 77 saves in six games a .417 save percentage and a 13.19 goals against average.
