WASHINGTON – The American University lacrosse team will bring the 2015 season to a close on Saturday, as it visits Colgate for a 1 p.m. Patriot League contest.
The Eagles currently hold a 4-11 overall record on the season and a 2-5 record in PL play. American fell to Lehigh, 16-6, in the Eagles' home finale last weekend. Senior Jamie Silverman scored a team-leading two goals against the Mountain Hawks, while classmate Jordan Harrington added a goal and two assists.
For the season, junior Jessica Wojciechowski is the Eagles' leading scorer with 32 goals and 36 total points, while classmate Olivia Mangan has registered 14 goals and 15 assists. Harrington, who ranks fourth in program history with 52 career assists, has added 10 goals and a team-leading 16 assists this season.
Colgate enters the weekend with a 9-5 overall record and a 5-2 mark in the Patriot League. The Raiders, who are coming off a 14-5 non-conference victory over Binghamton, currently sit in third place in the league standings, but could potentially earn the second seed in this year's PL tournament.
Megan Ark is the leading scorer for Colgate this season with 29 goals and 42 total points, while Haley O'Hanlon is close behind with 25 goals and a team-leading 15 assists. Goalkeeper Jennie Berglin has been outstanding for the Raiders between the pipes, leading the Patriot League with a .491 save percentage and ranking second with 8.07 saves per game.
