Poorman named ECAC Goalie of the Week

WASHINGTON - American University field hockey goalkeeper Alyssa Poorman was named ECAC Goalie of the Week following a 3-1 win over Lafayette to clinch the Eagles' sixth-straight Patriot League Regular Season Championship.Poorman has been named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week five times this season.

Poorman made three key saves in the Eagles' 3-1 win over Lafayette to clinch the Patriot League regular season title. Poorman surrendered just one goal against the Leopards to claim her ninth victory of the season.

American will close out its regular season over the weekend against Lehigh (at Lafayette) at 8 p.m. on Saturday at No. 12 Princeton on Sunday at 2 p.m.
