WASHINGTON - The American University women's basketball team will host Bucknell on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m. in the final game of a two-game homestand. This marks the 21st meeting in the all-time series between American and Bucknell. Bucknell leads the series 11-10. The Eagles beat the Bison 61-55 on Jan 14. Liz Leer led the Eagles with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks.
American is looking to end a four-game home losing streak against Bucknell. The last home win for the Eagles came in 2004 when the Eagles defeated the Mountain Hawks 50-49 in that game.
The Eagles improved to 6-2 in the Patriot League with Saturday's 65-56 win over Lehigh, 65-56. American is currently tied with Lehigh for first place in the PL.
Talicia Jackson, who hit two three-pointers against Lehigh on Saturday, now holds the school record for career three-pointers with 149, breaking the previous record of 147 held by Kari Gaskins (1995-99).
