Karleena Tobin is in her second season as graduate manager with the Eagles. At American, the Baltimore, Md., native is responsible for team travel, equipment, alumni correspondence and film exchange. She also plays a key role in coordinating camps and is highly involved in on-campus recruiting. In the summer prior to her second season, Tobin planned, organized and executed trip details for the 2007 Australian tour. She was responsible for all aspects of travel, including but not limited to, flights, hotels, passports, schedules and itineraries. The team played three games oversees and came back to the nation's capital 2-1. Before beginning her coaching career at American University, Tobin was a four-year varsity letterwinner at the University of Delaware. As a guard with Delaware, Tobin helped the Blue Hens to three 20-plus win seasons and a trio of Post Season Women's National Invitational Tournament bids. Under head coach Tina Martin, Tobin's Delaware squads went 88-33 overall, capturing the Colonial Athletic Association's regular season championship twice. Tobin and Blue Hens twice finished as runners up in the CAA Championship. In her senior season, Tobin was given the Delaware Sportsmanship Award, which honors a student-athlete who has been outstanding role model and displayed outstanding sportsmanship toward their teammates, coaches, opponents and game officials. Tobin earned her degree in Human Services from the University of Delaware in May, 2006. She currently resides in Baltimore, Md.
