CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Eleven members of the American University women's basketball team were selected to the 2018 Patriot League Spring Academic Honor Roll, the league office released on Thursday.
To qualify for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.20 GPA in the spring semester.
Senior Emily Kinneston, who earned the Patriot League Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year in March, was one of eight players in the conference to have appeared on the honor roll four times along with classmates Kate Bond and Maria Liddane.
Juniors Cecily Carl and Elina Koskimies both earned their third honor roll appearance while seniors Asha Henley and Io Chaney, and sophomores TaeKenya Cleveland and Kaitlyn Marenyi became two-time honorees. Junior transfer Morgan Bartner and junior Kaitlyn Lewis rounded out the list with their PL honor roll debuts.
A total of 83 student-athletes earned the distinction with Loyola Maryland leading the way with 14 honorees followed by 12 from Lehigh, then American and Bucknell with 11 each, Lafayette (10), Holy Cross (8), Colgate (5), Navy (4), Army West Point (4) and Boston University (4).
