WORCESTER, Mass. - A double-double from senior Lauren Crisler fell just short in lifting the American University women's basketball team over Holy Cross on Saturday, as the Eagles fell to the Crusaders, 51-46.

Junior Emily Kinneston led the team with 13 points for the day, followed by Crisler who tallied her second double-double of the season with 12 points and ten rebounds.

The Eagles shot 34.7 percent off of 17-of-49 from the field and brought down 37 rebounds.

The Crusaders were led by a trio of double figure performances, starting with freshman Madalyn Smith's 16-point effort.  Junior Katie Doherty put up 13 points and freshman Lauren Manis ten points.  Sophomore Miranda Nixon led the team on the boards with nine rebounds.
