The American University women's basketball team will look to reach the 20-win mark for the first time since 2011-12 and clinich a home quarterfinal game in the 2014 Patriot League Tournament when it travels to West Point, N.Y. to take on Army on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 3 p.m.

American (19-7, 12-3) is on a season-best six-game win streak following a 69-44 rout of Boston U. on Wednesday night in Bender Arena. Arron Zimmerman posted her second double-double of the season with a game-high 12 points and 11 rebounds. Jen Dumiak scored 10 points and Alexis Dobbs chipped in nine points with a team-high six assists and three steals. The Eagles outrebounded the Terriers 42-31 for the game and outshot Boston 41.4 to 33.3 percent from the floor and 44.0 to 18.2 percent from beyond the arc.

Three players are averaging double-figures for American this season led by Dobbs with 12.8 points per game. Zimmerman has added 10.3 ppg, with a team-best 12.1 ppg in conference play, with Dumiak tallying 10.1 ppg on the year. Sarah Kiely leads the Eagles with 5.6 rebounds per game. Dobbs is fourth in the Patriot League with 4.5 assists per game and third with 1.5 steals per game on the year. As a team, American is ranked sixth in the nation in scoring defense (54.7).

Army (18-7, 10-4) suffered its fourth Patriot League loss of the season on Wednesday night, falling to Colgate, 71-60, in Hamilton, N.Y. Jen Hazlett led the Black Knights with 23 points and Kelsey Minato scored 20, going 10-of-10 from the foul line. Hazlett also led the team with seven boards but the Raiders outrebounded Army 42-36 for the game. The Black Knights shot 30.3 percent from the field and went 6-of-22 from 3-point range.

Three players reached double-figures for the Eagles but Army was able to hand American its second straight loss in the series, 64-63, in Bender Arena earlier this season. Dumiak led the Eagles with 14 points while Geleisa George scored 12 and Michelle Holmes chipped in 11 points. Zimmerman posted a team-best six rebounds but the Black Knights held a 29-27 edge on the glass. Hazlett led Army with 15 points and eight rebounds in the win. American holds a 7-6 edge when playing in West Point, N.Y. and is 17-11 all-time against Army.
