Video: USA Basketball at American, Part 4 – AU's Ohemaa Nyanin Interviews Sylvia Fowles

From September 30 to October 5, American University's Bender Arena hosted the USA Basketball Women's National Team for a six-day domestic training camp. Connecticut Head Coach Geno Auriemma led the squad, which featured a host of former collegiate All-Americans and current WNBA stars.

One of the many perks of hosting Team USA was the ability for American University's women's basketball team was able to interact with the squad in unprecedented fashion. AU's student-athletes were able to watch its closed-door practices, talk with the players and get a first-hand look at Team USA.

During the week, AU senior center Ohemaa Nyanin had the opportunity to interview Sylvia Fowles, a current star on the WNBA's Chicago Sky. Nyanin asked Fowles about influential people in her life, what it is like to play on the National Team and advice for collegiate student-athletes.

This is the fourth of a five-part video series that will be released about USA Basketball at American. Check back next Thursday, November 5 for the fifth and final video.
