WASHINGTON – The American University wrestling team is back in action this weekend for a pair of duals, hosting EIWA foe Bucknell on Saturday at 11 a.m. before hitting the road to face Old Dominion on Sunday at 2 p.m.

American enters this weekend's duals with a 4-7 overall record and 1-5 record in the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association. The Eagles dropped a pair of EIWA duals last weekend, falling to Binghamton, 22-17, and sixth-ranked Lehigh, 32-8, on the road.

The Eagles are led by senior captains David Terao (125) and John Boyle (157), who are ranked 14th in their respective weight classes by InterMat. Terao owns an 18-3 overall record on the season, while Boyle leads the team in total victories with a 22-6 overall record. Terao and Boyle are also rated in the top 15 in the latest coaches' panel rankings and initial RPI released by the NCAA.

Bucknell owns an 8-5 overall record and 3-2 ledger in the EIWA after rolling to a 39-0 victory over conference foe Sacred Heart last Sunday.

The Bison have three wrestlers who are currently ranked by InterMat, led by senior Joe Stolfi, who is the eighth-ranked heavyweight in the country with a 13-1 record. Senior Paul Petrov is currently ranked 11th at 125 pounds, while classmate Rustin Barrick is rated 20th at 174 pounds.

Old Dominion, which hosts Eastern Michigan at 1 p.m. on Sunday, enters the weekend with a 5-10 overall record and 0-5 mark in the MAC. The Monarchs split a pair of duals last weekend, defeating Navy 19-18 on criteria, before dropping a 25-16 decision to 23rd-ranked Ohio.

Four Monarch wrestlers are listed in the latest InterMat rankings, led by senior Alexander Richardson, who is rated eighth at 149 pounds with a  17-4 overall record. Freshman Emilio Saavedra and junior Jack Dechow are ranked 11th at 133 and 184, respectively, while senior Chris Mecate is ranked 13th at 141 pounds.
