Four Wrestlers Featured in Preseason Poll

Four American University wrestlers have been featured in the D1CollegeWrestling.net Top 25 Preseason Poll. Jasen Borshoff, Kyle Borshoff, Mike Cannon and Steve Fittery have all been ranked in their respective weight classes after their impressive performances last season.

Cannon is ranked third at 174 lbs. after placing eighth at last year's NCAA Championships. A two-time All-American, Cannon finished last year with a 33-3 record and won both the EIWA Championship and the Midlands Championship. His career record of 92-16 is the fourth best all-time at American.

K. Borsoff finished off the year placing seventh at the NCAA Championships and is ranked fifth in the poll. He earned All-America status after posting a 33-7 record and placing third at the EIWA Championships. His career record of 73-31 places him 11^th in program history.

Ranked 24^th at 125 lbs., J. Borshoff finished his 2008-09 season with a record of 18-13. He placed sixth in the EIWA tournament at 133 lbs. but will move back to 125 lbs. for his final season.

Fittery, a junior transfer student, posted an overall mark of 25-5 in 2007-08 at Shippensburg. During that same season he finished first in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference and second at the NCAA Division II Championships. Fittery is ranked 21^st at 157 lbs.
