Eagles defeat Georgetown and Real Maryland Saturday

WASHINGTON - The American University men's soccer team won a pair of scrimmages Saturday at Reeves Field. The Eagles beat Georgetown 1-0 and then beat Real Maryland 1-0.

American tallied on a on a converted Luis Martinez PK after Anthony Moy was taken down in the penalty area to defeat the Hoyas in the first match. David Menzie scored against Real Maryland, the result of a nice team passing sequence.

"We are happy with our team defending and happy that everyone was able to contribute to two hard fought victories today," AU Head Coach Todd West said following the wins.
