Jan. 24, 2008

WASHINGTON - Eleven American University men's soccer players have been named to the Patriot League's Academic Honor Roll, league officials announced Thursday.

The Eagles' 11 selections tied for the second-most of any team in the league.

To be eligible for the Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade point average in the fall semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the PL's seven fall championship sports.

Sophomore forward Christopher Liebner, one of the 11 Eagles honored, was one of just seven players league-wide that earned a perfect 4.0 GPA in the fall semester.
