WASHINGTON — The American University men's soccer team will play under the lights for the first time this season in Patriot League competition when they travel to Loyola Maryland for a midweek contest on Wednesday.
The Eagles have three more regular-season games remaining and will face a tough task with the Greyhounds who enter the contest on a four-game winning streak and sit in first place in the league with a 5-1 record.
American dropped its last contest on Saturday afternoon, 4-1, to Lehigh at Reeves Field. Alameen Salako scored for the Eagles. Nicholas Dimitrijevic continues to lead the Eagles in scoring with five goals and 10 points. Tim Neumann is second in points with eight and first in assists with four.
John Mino has posted a 2.19 goals against average in 14 games.
For Loyola, Barry Sharifi paces the squad with five goals and three assists for 13 points. Brian Saramago is second with 10 points and Gabriel Carlsson is third in points with eight assists.
Chase Vosvick has posted a 0.98 goals against average for the Greyhounds.
