Holdsworth Scores in @AU_MSoccer 1-1 Tie With Binghamton

Max Holdsworth scored to lead the Eagles to a 1-1 tie with Binghamton

WASHINGTONMax Holdsworth scored his first goal of the season in the 48th minute but Binghamton scored two minutes later resulting in a 1-1 double overtime tie on Monday afternoon. 

American (1-4-1) outshot the Bearcats 25-6 and held the ball inside the Binghamton zone for most of the game.

Binghamton keeper Chris Shutter was forced to make 10 saves while the AU back line did a good job to minimize the opportunities at John Mino who made two saves.

After the Eagles took the one goal advantage, Binghamton's Nikos Psarras tied the game in the 50th minute after receiving a pass from Noah Luescher.

Tim Neumann was credited with the assist on Holdsworth's goal.

American will travel Albany on Friday evening at 7 p.m.
