WASHINGTON — Back on the east coast, the American University men's soccer team hosts Marist on Thursday afternoon and then Binghamton on Monday at noon.
The Eagles split two games last weekend at the Gonzaga Tournament, defeating Oregon State, 1-0 before falling to Gonzaga, 4-0.
Vinny Barone scored off a header in the 85th minute against the Beavers.
John Mino played in both games in goal for the Eagles and made nine saves during the weekend. In four games, Mino has posted a 2.00 goals against average and a .650 save percentage.
Marist is 2-1 on the season after falling to Hartford, 1-0, last Saturday. The Red Foxes defeated Albany, 3-2 and Hartwick, 2-1. Allen Gavilanes leads Marist with five points (1g, 3a). David Nkansah-Siriboe paces the Red Foxes with two goals and is second on the team with four points.
Mark Rajovic started all three games in goal and posts a 1.33 goals against average and a.667 save percentage.
