AU Men's Golf Finishes Ninth at the Intercollegiate at Diablo Grande

PATTERSON, Calif. - The American University men's golf team finished in ninth place at the Intercollegiate at Diablo Grande last weekend.

Adam Kolloff (Boston, Mass./Lawrence Academy) led the Eagles with a 156 (79-77) on the Par 72 course in Patterson Calif. Alex Wenzel (Toledo, Ohio/Toledo Christian) shot a 159 (80-79), while Howard Smith (Las Vegas, Nev./The Meadows School) scored a 163 (79-84). Todd Shagin (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) earned a 165 while Billy Lacey (Old Tappan, N.J./Old Tappan) shot a 168 (85-83) over the weekend.

UC Davis won the team title with a 600, with host school Drake University finishing second (613) and De Paul coming in third with a score of 613. Davis' Louie Bishop had the best individual effort, scoring a 145 (71-74) to edge out fellow teammate Jay Westerlund and Eastern Kentucky's Nick McDaniel, who each had a score of 146.

The Eagles are back in action on April 8 and 9, when they travel up to Pa. to play in the Lafayette Invitational at the Center Valley Country Club.
