WASHINGTON - The American University Department of Athletics has announced that single game tickets for all home men's and women's basketball games will go on sale this Friday, Oct. 24, at 9 a.m. The Eagles men's team will play 11 regular season games at home this season while the women's team will play 15 games in Bender Arena.

Tickets to all 26 regular season men's and women's home games can be purchased in one of three ways:

  • Online at AUEagles.com 24 hours a day, seven days a week by clicking here.
  • By calling (202) 885-TIXX, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • At the Bender Arena Box Office, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

This year's men's home schedule features several special dates and events including:

  • Monday, Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. - Home opener vs. St. Francis (Pa.) and NCAA Tournament Banner Unveiling. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will receive a free commemorative replica mini-banner courtesy of GEICO.
  • Monday, Dec. 1 at 9 p.m. - vs. Mount St. Mary's live on MASN at special 9 p.m. start time.
  • Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 7:30 p.m. - vs. Bucknell with Olympic table tennis exhibition at halftime courtesy of Senoda, Inc.
  • Saturday, Jan. 31 at 2 p.m. - vs. Lafayette in the annual "Phil Bender" game.
  • Saturday, Feb. 14 at 1 p.m. - vs. Colgate live on ESPNU in a rematch of last year's Patriot League Championship Game.
  • Saturday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m. - vs. Holy Cross in a special "Re-Phil Bender" game. The Stafford H. `Pop' Cassell Hall of Fame induction class of 2009 will also be introduced.

The women's schedule also features several special dates and events including:

  • Sunday, Nov. 16 at 2 p.m. - Home opener vs. Drexel.
  • Sunday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. - vs. Georgetown in a battle of local rivals.
  • Saturday, Feb. 7 at 4 p.m. - vs. Lehigh in the annual "Pink Zone" game. AU will celebrate National Girls and Women in Sport Day and host the annual "Phil Bender" game on this date.

Tickets for men's home games are priced at $13 for sideline chairback reserved seats, $9 for endzone reserved seats and $7 for youth endzone reserved seats. Tickets to women's games are all general admission and are priced at $5 for adults and $3 for children. Students with a valid AU ID and children under two admitted free.

Fans can also purchase season tickets for the upcoming 2008-09 season in person at the Bender Arena Box Office or by calling (202) 885-TIXX. Season ticket packages are priced at $130 and include all 26 home men's and women's games.
