Position: Director of Basketball Operations

Bryce Simon spent one season as the director of basketball operations on Coach Jones's staff after helping AU to the program's first two appearances in the NCAA Tournament as a member of the team.

Simon, a 2009 AU graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences, started 31 games as a junior before suffering a knee injury which limited his playing time in his senior season. Simon led the Eagles in rebounding (4.0 rpg) as a junior and ranked fourth in scoring (7.0 ppg). For his career, Simon averaged 5.2 ppg and 2.7 rpg.

Simon played two seasons at Pratt Community College in Pratt, Kan., for Head Coach Trevor Rolfs before coming to American. At Pratt, Simon averaged 12.1 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 3.6 apg. During the 2006-07 season he helped the Beavers to a 25-8 record and a second-place finish in the west division of the Jayhawk Conference.

"Bryce has been an outstanding member of our basketball program for the past two years," remarked Coach Jones. "His enthusiasm, relationship with his teammates and the coaching staff, and his knowledge of our program will allow him to succeed in his new role on our team."
