2005-06: Played in 12 games ... nabbed two offensive rebounds and an assist in the season-opener at Washington (11/19) ... also had two boards, both of the defensive variety, and a steal at Ohio (12/3) ... had an assist in the BB&T Classic game versus Final Four team George Mason (12/5).

Before American: Penny was a walk-on for the Florida State Seminoles in 2003-04 .... he earned his way onto the team after being selected from a campus-wide tryout .... played in six games in 2003-04 and was an important member of the scout team ... scored his first varsity points versus Nicholls State (Nov. 26) ... one of 24 varsity athletes who graduated from Mercersburg Academy and went on to play in college ... also played for De La Salle High School in Minneapolis, Minn., and earned All-State Honorable Mention All-State honors as a junior ...
