Greg Lyons begins his fourth season as a member of Head Coach Jeff Jones' staff. Lyons is responsible for the day-to-day operations of practice, including practice planning, individual workouts, opponent scouting, film breakdown and recruiting.

Lyons arrives after serving as a member of Dave Odom's staff at the University of South Carolina. While at South Carolina, Lyons assisted in the day-to-day operation of practice, individual workouts, weight training, film sessions and video breakdown. The team made it to the finals of the NIT in the 2002-03 season.

Lyons has served as both a coach and counselor at a number of basketball camps over the last 10 years. In 2003, he served as the Co-Camp Director of South Carolina's Women's Basketball Camp.

Lyons graduated from Virginia in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. He received the University's presitigious "7 Society" award for dedication and service to the University. Lyons earned three letters while at UVA and the team was ranked in the top-25 and made an NCAA appearance during his senior year.

Lyons attended Holy Cross High School in Queen's, N.Y., where he was a a member of the basketball team. He was named to the New York Post All-City Honorable Mention team, as well as to The Tablet's Second Team for Queens and Brooklyn.

Lyons and his wife Lisa reside in Bethesda, Md.
