Eddie Jackson begins his fourth season as a member of Coach
Jones's staff.
Jackson came to AU after spending time coaching at both the high
school and AAU level. He served as an assistant varsity coach at
South Lakes High School in Reston, Va., under the leadership of
head coach Wendell Byrd. While with the Seahawks, he was in charge
of scouting, preparing scouting reports, and on court
demonstration. In three seasons he helped the Seahawks to a 58-24
overall record and a spot in the Virginia High School League State
Quarterfinals.
Jackson also served as a head coach with Nova UNITED AAU
Basketball Club in the D.C., Metropolitan area. In his last three
years with the program, he has assisted with the development and
recruitment of over 30 scholarship players, including 24 Division I
players.
In addition to his coaching experience, he created and served as
a co-director of the East Coast Basketball Coaching Clinic. He also
has spent several summers working as a camp counselor at Eastern
Invitational Basketball Camp and Top-100 Clinics throughout the
East Coast. Jackson received dual bachelor degrees in economics and
criminology from The Ohio State University in 2000. Jackson resides
in Northern Virginia.
