Men’s Basketball vs. Bucknell Selected as CBS Sports Network Telecast for March 1

The Patriot League announced Thursday that American men's basketball's final game of the regular season against Bucknell has been selected to air on CBS Sports Network as part of the League's television package. The game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 2 p.m.

American is in second place in the Patriot League with an 11-4 mark, while Bucknell has won three straight and holds sole possession of fifth place at 8-7.

The teams will be meeting for the first time since the League opener when AU posted a 67-57 victory at Bucknell on Jan. 2. The win was first year head coach Mike Brennan's first in league play as the Eagles won their fourth-straight league opener and snapped an eight-game winless streak against the Bison.

Against the Bison, senior center Tony Wroblicky led the way with 24 points, 11 rebounds, six blocks and five assists, and is averaging 13.7 points and a Patriot League-high 8.7 rebounds during League action. Sophomore guard Jesse Reed ranks third in conference play with 14.9 points per game, while Bucknell's Cameron Ayers is second in scoring in League games (17.0 ppg) and third for the entire season (15.8 ppg).

All five of the regular-season finales will be played simultaneously on March 1, with the rest of the action including Boston University at Holy Cross, Lafayette at Army, Colgate at Lehigh and Loyola University Maryland at Navy. Each of those four games will be available through Patriot League Network.

Ten Patriot League men's basketball games have already aired on CBS Sports Network this season, with another to come this weekend as Bucknell visits Boston University on Sunday at Noon EST. Patriot League coverage on CBS Sports Network will continue with the Patriot League Tournament semifinals on March 8 (3:30 and 5:30 p.m. EST) as well as the Patriot League Championship on March 12 at 7:30 p.m. EST.
