"Through the recruiting process out of prep school, we know that Charles is an outstanding young man who will make positive contributions to the American community."


The 6-5 guard appeared in 10 games as a sophomore at Vanderbilt University, helping the Commodores to an 8-3 record before transferring. As a freshman, Hinkle appeared in 25 games and helped the Commodores to a 19-12 overall record and an 8-8 mark in SEC play. He scored a career-high seven points against St. Francis (Pa.) that season and netted five points against Alabama in the SEC Tournament. 

Hinkle averaged 16.3 ppg, 5.9 rpg and 2.1 apg in one season playing at Hebron Academy in Maine. As a senior at Los Alamitos High School, Hinkle averaged 10.0 ppg and 5.0 rpg to help guide the Griffins to a 29-5 overall record, the school's first sectional championship and an appearance in the California state semifinals. He was also a two-time All-Sunset League selection while playing at Los Alamitos.

Coach Jones on Simon: “Wayne’s achievements on the court and in the classroom are impressive and have us anticipating big things during his career at American. Playing for a coaching legend like Gene Pingatore has prepared him well for the jump from high school to college.

 

Simon was an all-conference selection in 2010 after leading the Chargers to a 12-1 record in the East Suburban Catholic Conference. He averaged 15 points, four rebounds and four assists per game as a senior and ranked 11th in the conference in scoring. Simon played two seasons at St. Joseph’s under the guidance of Head Coach Gene Pingatore, the all-time winningest coach in Illinois boy’s basketball history.


 
Tony Wroblicky - C
Height: 6'10"

"He is a versatile, skilled big man who should add needed depth to our front court. He has received excellent coaching from Jamal Adams at Loyola High School and Robert Icart of BTi Double Pump. Having grown six inches in the past two seasons, Tony's best basketball is still ahead of him."

 

Wroblicky, a 6-10 senior center for Los Angeles’s Loyola High School, averaged 11 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks per game during the 2008-09 season. His efforts helped the Cubs to the Division II State Semifinals. This season, The Los Angeles Times has dubbed Loyola High School as the favorite to win Division I-A.
