Video Interview: Men's Soccer Alum, Current D.C. United Player Avery John

Former American University soccer student-athlete Avery John '99 came from humble beginnings in Trinidad and Tobago to star for the Eagles in the late 1990s. During his time at AU, John helped lead the Eagles to the 1997 NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals. He has played professional soccer since graduating from American, and had made numerous national team appearances for his home country. Currently, John is a member of Major League Soccer's D.C. United. Recently, we sat down with John to talk about his childhood, why he chose to attend American and his experience as an Eagle.
