14 Eagles Named to the PL Women's Cross Country Academic Honor Roll

WASHINGTON - 14 members of the American University women's cross country team have been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, conference officials announced Tuesday. Senior Kate Lilley earned the award for the fourth time in her career while Cathleen Ford and Meghan Mason each earned their third academic award from the conference.
Sophomore Greta Wicklund highlights the list of Academic Honor Roll recipients for the Eagles as one of nine PL student-athletes to achieve at least a 4.00 GPA during the fall semester. Wicklund, an international service major who competed in four meets for AU this year, was also named to the PL Academic Honor Roll as a freshman.
Lilley was named to the PL Academic Honor Roll for the fourth time in her career with a 3.83 GPA in business administration last semester. Ford, a senior psychology major, earned the award for the third time in her career with a 3.85 GPA in the fall. Mason was also named to the PL Academic Roll for the third time in her career with a 3.68 GPA in international service as a junior.
Alexa Desko (3.60, psychology), Cara Dorney (3.94, justice), Mary Jane Egan (3.87, political science), Rachel Forcino (3.48, international service), Allison Greene (3.92, biology), Janis Irish (3.49, business administration), Ashley Peppler (3.80, international studies), Caitlin Rosser (3.89, business administration), Melissa Tabas (3.20, international studies) and Gena Turner (3.35, biology) were each named to the PL Academic Honor Roll for the first time.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the Patriot League's seven fall championship sports.
