WASHINGTON - Conor Lanz, a 2007 American University graduate and alumni of the men's cross country and track teams, was featured in the April 2008 Alumni Profile section of AU's Alumni Update Newsletter. Lanz is currently seven months into a two year leadership fellows program with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
Despite having no background in finance and the steep learning curve at his first rotation with the Port Authority's treasury department, Lanz helped institute an automatic payment processing system for vendors, a fact of which he is particularly proud, since the project had languished before his arrival.
While a member of the men's cross country and track teams at AU, Lanz was named the 2006 Patriot League Cross Country Scholar-Athlete of the Year and was also a 12 time PL Academic Honor Roll selection.
