WASHINGTON - Members of the American University men's track team competed at the Lou Onesty/Milton G. Abramson Invitational on Saturday hosted by the University of Virginia. AU was led by sophomore Dan King and freshman Morgan Block who combined for three AU all-time top 10 performances.

King placed 15th in the men's 400 meter dash, completing the course in a personal best time of 50.53. King's time replaced his previous personal best of 50.55 in the event at eighth on AU's all-time top 10 list. King later returned to the track to run in the 200 meter dash where he placed 39th in 23.05, good enough for eighth all-time at AU.

Block finished just behind King in the 400 meter race, placing 22nd in a personal record time of 50.81 and taking over 10th place on AU's all-time list. Block also later returned for the 200 meter dash and placed 49th in a time of 23.82.

Sophomore Kris Kagan also competed at the meet, taking 30th place in the 800 meter run with a 1:58.51.

The Onesty/Abramson Invitational is a non-team scoring meet.

The AU men's and women's track teams will be back in action next week as it again splits its squad between the Morgan State Invitational in Baltimore, Md., and the Mount St. Mary's Invitational in Emmitsburg, Md., on Saturday, April 19.
