WASHINGTON - Seniors Kate Lilley and Steve Hallinan competed on Day Two of the Adidas Raleigh Relays on the campus of North Carlina State where they finished seventh in the 1500 meter run and 11th in the 800 meter run, respectively.
Lilley was first to take the track in the women's 1500 meter where she placed seventh with a personal best 4:38.48. Lilley's time toped her previous personal record of 4:47.32 and moved her from seventh to fifth on AU's all-time list. Amanda Chase of the Distance Division Club won the event with a 4:31.33.
Hallinan ran to an 11th place finish in the men's 800 meter dash, finishing the race in a time of 1:54.87. Long Island's Julius Mutekanga won the event, finishing in 1:50.61. Hallinan also competed on Day One as part of the men's 4x1500 meter relay team which placed fourth.
The AU men's and women's track teams will be out of action next week and will return to action April 11-12 when the squads are split between the Bucknell Bison Outdoor games in Lewisburg, Pa., and the Onesty/Abramson Invitational in Charlottesville, Va.
