Patriot League Champion in the 1500m with a 3:46.51 ... set
personal bests in the 800m, 1500m and 5000m outdoors ... easily won
the Bucknell Outdoor Classic with a 14:02.53, eclipsing his own
school record by almost two seconds ... won the 1500 at the Navy
Invite in 3:46.04, leading from start to finish .... ran 4:03.19 at
the Swarthmore Last Chance meet, breaking the school outdoor record
in the mile. Indoors... Patriot League Champion in the
Indoor Mile, setting a new personal best of 4:06.67 and winning his
first individual title on the track ... came back a few hours later
to place 4th in the 3000m ... won the college section of the 3000m
at the New Balance Armory Collegiate Invite with a 8:07, the
third-fastest time in school history ... set a personal best of
2:26.77 for the 1000m in his debut at the distance ...
XC... 2006 Patriot League XC Champion, outdueling Mike
Hanlon of Colgate in the final mile for his first PL title ... was
the Eagles top man at NCAA's placing 63rd and just missing
All-America Honors ... placed eighth at the Mid-Atlantic Regional
meet, earning All-Region honors ... was also the Eagles first man
in the Navy Invite running 24:51.32, the fastest time by any Eagle
ever on that course.
2005-06: Set
the school record in the 5000 meters at the Bucknell Outdoor
Classic, running 14:04.14 ... ran the fastest time of his career in
the 1500 at the Duke Invitational (3:48.54) ... improved his
personal best to 1:55 in the 800 meters ... split 4:03.8 on the 4 x
Mile at the Penn Relays ... finished third in the Patriot League in
the 1500 meters ... competed at the NCAA East Regional in the 5000
meters...Indoors...Set new indoor school record in the
5000m (14:23.91) at the Armory Collegiate Invitational ... won the
Navy Invitational 3k and followed it up with the fourth-fastest
mile in school indoor history at the Terp Invitational with a PR
4:09...XC... Finished runner-up at the PLXC meet for the
second straight year, running 24:34, outsprinting the third-place
finisher in the final 100 meters... earned All-Region honors,
finishing 16th... AUs top finisher at the NCAA XC
Championships.
2004-05: One
of the Eagles' best young prospects in the middle to long distance
events ... has speed and strength and has competed well despite
injury complications ... ran sixth-fastest time ever by an Eagle
with his 3:50 in the 1500 at the Navy Invitational ... ran on
Eagles 4 x mile team ... ran another 3:50 in the summer at the
Boston High Performance meet ... anchored the Eagles victorious DMR
indoors with an uncontested 4:12 split... XC...Finished
runner-up at the PLXC meet and two weeks later led the Eagles to
their first NCAA Championships appearance in over 30 years with his
seventh place finish at Mid-Atlantic Regionals, earning All-Region
honors.
2003-04: Did
not compete due to injury.
High School:
Foot Locker Northeast cross country champion ... was named
honorable mention All-American in cross country three times ...
named First Team All-State three times in cross country ... was a
two-time New York state Class C cross country champion ... won the
1600m New York state Class B championship ... also played
basketball and soccer.
Personal: Son
of Eileen and Thomas Fennell .. has two brothers, Thomas and Brian,
and one sister, Tara ... majoring in business
administration.
