HEAR FROM COACH GRAHAM...
"Big weekend for a couple of our senior athletes attempting to improve their positions on the NCAA lists for the postseason. We started with a very strong effort by Adriana Hooks in the 10k on Thursday night at the Penn Relays. Unfortunately, we didn't get the big breakthrough we were hoping for, but Adriana ran a very gutsy race against some of the strongest athletes in the east. Then Saturday we headed down to UVA with Liam Purdy racing the 800m. The field wasn't quite as strong as we had hoped it would be, so fellow-senior Matthew Rainey came along to take on the pacing efforts. The two ran great, but just came up a touch short of a PR. As Liam said following the race, 'If 1:50 is my bad day now, I'm excited for what's coming!' Now it's time to gear up for PL's next weekend!"
The Eagles will travel to Worcester, Mass., next week for the Patriot League Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Holy Cross on Friday and Saturday (May 3-4).
