WASHINGTON - The American University track and field team will close its 2018 indoor slate on Sunday as 13 Eagles travel to George Mason for the Last Chance Meet.
Junior Trevor Patton will begin the day in the men's long jump where he will look to improve on his 7.11m (23-4) school record for the first time this season.
Sophomores Emily Houghton and Lucia Rose will open with the 400m dash. Houghton timed through with the eighth-fastest time in program history in the event during the Terrapin Invitational in January, crossing with a new personal record (PR) of 1:03.23. The duo will return later in the day for the 200m dash.
The 3,000m runs will close the day's events, featuring sophomore Katelyn Deibler on the women's side, and freshman Michael Weidenbruch on the men's.
The Eagles will open the outdoor season on Saturday, March 17, with the Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C. For the latest on AU Track & Field, stay tuned to AUEagles.com and follow the team on Twitter @AU_TrackXC.
