Koch, Rinehardt Take to Track at NCAA East Regional

Erin Koch and Octavia Rinehardt competed at the NCAA East Regional over the weekend, becoming the first Eagles to compete at the meet since 2009.

Koch first ran on Thursday in the 1,500 meter run first round and advanced to quarterfinals by placing fourth in the second heat with a time of 4:30.92. The graduate student then placed ninth in the first heat of the quarterfinals on Saturday, crossing the line in 4:30.99.

Rinehardt took to the track on Saturday in the 5,000 meter run. The junior, who also appeared at the meet in 2009 as a freshman, stopped the clock with a time of 17:01.02 to place 17th in the second heat.
