FAIRFAX, Va. – American University returns to the George Mason pool that yielded a number of outstanding swims in the fall and gets a look at two more Patriot League opponents in a quadrangular swimming and diving meet Saturday.
The Eagles will compete against the host Patriots, Army West Point and Boston University in a meet scheduled to begin at noon.
AU last swam at Mason in mid-November at the Patriot Invitational. They hit a number of marks that are now on the school's all-time top-16, competing after being in a resting phase of their training.
The Eagles head to Fairfax on Saturday not yet tapering for the upcoming Patriot League Championships, to be held in mid-February.
AU was swept last weekend in a home meet with Georgetown and George Washington, despite a first-place finish in women's 3-meter diving by freshman Anna Derrow.
Junior Scott Callander had the men's best individual finish last weekend with a second and a fourth.
