WASHINGTON – The American University men's & women's swimming & diving teams are set for action at the 2015 Patriot League Championships, hosted by Bucknell at the Kinney Natatorium. Prelims each day are slated for 10:30 a.m., while each night's finals are scheduled for 6 p.m. The meet begins on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the men's three-meter diving prelims.
A live video broadcast of the entire meet will be available via the Patriot League Network, while live results can be found at the link above.
American has accrued 14 marks and times that rank in the top-20 of events this season and will look to build on those records.
The Eagle faithful are primed for the women's 100 backstroke, an event in which three current swimmers have set top-five, all-time AU marks. Sophomore Caylee Watson owns the third-fastest time in program history, going at 56.96 earlier this year and ranking 10th fastest among Patriot League qualifiers. Paris Wood and Juliana Cavano are just behind in the American record book at fourth and fifth, with times of 57.07 and 57.57, respectively. Each swimmer is just outside of an NCAA B-cut mark at 55.09.
Other AU top-10 times set this year include Shannon Exley in the 200 free (9th, 1:53.52), Wood in the 200 back (4th, 2:02.54), Alexandra Follman in the 100 breast (8th, 1:07.01), Watson in the 100 butterfly (5th, 56.58) and Kilian Korth on the men's side in the 100 back (10th, 50.88).
