WASHINGTON – The American University swimming & diving team celebrated senior day in grand fashion on Friday night at the Reeves Aquatic Center, winning 21 events in a tri-meet against Howard and Mount St. Mary's.
Senior Dylan Hall led the way with a victory in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.58 to record his first collegiate gold win.
In total, nine meet records against Howard were set with eight races and one medley getting new top times set by the Eagles.
Senior Charlie Taffet set the new high mark in the 100 breast at 59.35 while classmate Kegan Gerard scored a 217.15 at 3-meters for new record.
Seven new high-water marks came on the women's side as senior Melissa Parker set both diving records.
The Eagles also broke through in the 50 free (Shannon Exley, 24.76), 500 free (Victoria Haviland, 5:15.60), 100 back (Paris Wood, 58.89), 100 fly (Caylee Watson, 58.14) and the 200 medley relay (Lena Mentyka, Alexandra Follman, Watson and Exley, 1:52.41).
