Eagles Return to the Pool Against Loyola (Md.), George Washington & Catholic

WASHINGTON – After the season-opening Potomac Relays last week, the Eagles take to the pool for their first individual races of the year, competing against Loyola, George Washington and Catholic this weekend. AU Swimming & Diving is in action in Baltimore on Friday for session one before hosting the second and third sessions in Frailey Pool.

The Eagles opened the season in style last Friday at the Reeves Aquatic Center as a top-10 all-time American University record was set. Rookie diver Fiona Caulfield started her career off in grand fashion, registering a 199.05 at 1 meter, good for 10th all-time.

On the men's side, the Eagles will look to build on a strong performance by their 3x100 backstroke team. The team of Harrison VolaskiKilian Korth and Dylan Hall started fast and kept up a strong effort throughout, finishing second overall with a time of 2:40.69.

American starts its busy weekend on 5 p.m. at Loyola with both diving events, the 500 freestyle, individual medley and 50 free. All four teams then come to D.C. for two sessions, the first beginning at noon. The third and final session starts at 5 p.m.
