Being a student-athlete presents its own unique challenges when it comes to fulfilling academic commitments. These challenges can vary depending on whether or not the student-athlete is in season. With that in mind, the Student-Athlete Support Program offers workshops intended to help student-athletes hone the academic skills necessary for both in-season and out-of-season academic success.
Workshops are run through the first several weeks of the fall semester to guide student-athletes in a positive direction from the start of the school year. The workshops line up closely with the academic calendar to provide information in a timely manner. With a focus on athletics, the workshops will help student-athletes navigate challenges like getting homework done while traveling, preparing for mid-terms and finals around competition and practice, and missing class for sports.
Workshops are open to all student-athletes. If you are interested in attending a workshop, please contact your SASP counselor. Student-Athletes who have study hall requirements will receive one hour of study hall time for attending a single workshop.
