2008 NCAA Volleyball Tournament First and Second Rounds Broadcast Live from American University on Eagle Vision All*Access
American University will host the 2008 NCAA Volleyball Tournament first and second rounds this Friday and Saturday, December 5th and 6th. AU will host Delaware, North Carolina and Oregon in the opening rounds of the NCAA Tournament. Delaware and Oregon will play on Friday at 5 p.m. with American and North Carolina to follow at 7 p.m. The winners of each of the First Round matches will meet on Saturday at 6 p.m. [ + ]

Nine different Eagles figured into the score column to lead American to a 66-40 win over University of Maryland-Eastern Shore on Tuesday in non-conference women's basketball action at W.P. Hytche Athletic Center. The Eagles improve to 5-3 on the season, while the Lady Hawks fall to 0-5. [ + ]
AU Field Hockey's Schickhardt and Fingerhuth Named to All-America Teams
American University had two student-athletes named to the 2008 Longstreth/NFHCA Division I All-America Teams, as announced Nov. 24 by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association. AU Men's Basketball Drops Thriller to Mount St. Mary's, 57-52
The American University men's basketball team was defeated at home on Monday night by Mount St. Mary's, 57-52, in a game which was not decided until the final minute. Brian Gilmore recorded a double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Eagles but his efforts were not enough to withstand a second-half comeback by The Mount. [ + ]
