February 2, 2010 95 American Student-Athletes Named to Fall 2009 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll
The Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for the fall 2009 sports have been released, and 95 American University student-athletes have been recognized with the award. AU had more student-athletes named than any other Patriot League school in five of the six sports.

In August 2009, the American University Department of Athletics introduced Eagles Vision TV, the new online home for AU's home athletics events on AUeagles.com. The American University Department of Athletics and Recreation has partnered with EverFi, a financial education program, to educate its sophomore student-athletes about financial responsibility after college. Watch this video to learn about the program.
October 31, 2009 Eagles Vision TV November Broadcast Schedule
In August 2009, the American University Department of Athletics introduced Eagles Vision TV, the new online home for AU's home athletics events on AUeagles.com. In the two months of Eagles Vision TV, 30 home athletics events have been broadcasted, and at least 14 more events will be shown in November.
October 23, 2009 2009-10 Men's and Women's Basketball Individual Game Tickets Now On Sale
Single-game tickets for the 2009-10 American University men’s and women’s basketball teams are on-sale now. The Eagles men’s team will play 16 games in Bender Arena this season while the women’s team will play 14 home dates.

The American University Women's Initiative hosted its fifth annual Breastival on October 5 on AU's Friedhem Quad. The Department of Athletics teamed with the event, which raises awareness about breast cancer and other women's health issues.
September 30, 2009 Celebrating Susie Kay, AU Alum and Hoop Dreams Founder
In 1996, American University alum Susie Kay founded the Hoop Dreams Scholarship Fund, which has helped to send 1,000 Washington D.C. public high school students to college. The program has funded scholarships, internships, mentoring and SAT tutoring.

In August 2009, the American University Department of Athletics introduced Eagles Vision TV, the new online home for AU’s home athletics events on AUeagles.com. All games feature multiple camera angles, a live scoreboard and analysis from a studio broadcast team and sideline reporters.

The American University Department of Athletics and Recreation placed 70 student-athletes on the Winter/Spring 2009 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. Six men’s basketball student-athletes earned the distinction, which was the most of any PL basketball team.

he American University Department of Athletics and Recreation hosted its 19th annual Eagles Club Golf Classic on Monday, June 8, at the Bretton Woods Country Club in Germantown, Md. Over 130 AU alums, donors and supporters participated in the golf scramble, helping to make this year's fundraiser a record-setting event that generated over $28,000.
