Phil Bender World Tour Returns for Spring Semester
The 2009-10 Phil Bender World Tour kicks back into gear as the calendar turns to 2010 with the five remaining dates on the Tour schedule. At each event, AU Blue Crew members will have the opportunity to win great prizes that include $100 Chipotle Gift Cards, $20 Robeks Gift Cards, and other great prizes. In addition, all fans that enter the PBWT password at AUBlueCrew.com will be eligible for the end of the semester drawing for a brand new Dell Laptop!
The Spring Semester portion of the PBWT begins on Friday, January 15th as AU Swimming & Diving hosts Georgetown at 5pm in the Bender Splashdown! There will be free pizza for all students, to go along with free Coca-Cola products, free smoothies from Robeks, and the password announcement to win the $100 Chipotle gift card and $20 Robeks gift card!
Following the Splashdown, the two-time defending Patriot League men's basketball champion Eagles host archrival Holy Cross in a rematch of last year's Patriot League championship game in the 2009-10 Phil Bender game! Phil Bender 2010 will take place at 2pm on Saturday, January 23rd in Bender Arena between American and the Crusaders.
AU wrestling then takes to the mat in the 2010 Bender Takedown on Tuesday January 26th at 6pm. The Eagles meet Drexel in their stop on the PBWT. AU women's basketball will battle Colgate on Saturday, February 13th at 2pm in their Phil Bender event, as we look to blow past last year's women's basketball attendance record of 1,331 set at Phil Bender 2009.
The final stop on the 2009-10 Phil Bender World Tour takes place on Saturday, March 27th when AU Lacrosse hosts its annual Lax Blowout. The 2pm matchup between American and Lehigh will be the final chance in 2009-10 for AU students to win the gift cards from Chipotle and Robeks, as well as the final chance to be entered into the drawing for the brand new Dell laptop!
